If you have a few minutes, it would really help if you could write to your Representative in Congress and your two US Senators and urge them to provide federal funding for the Watershed Resources Management Plan of the Obed Wild & Scenic River National Park. Tell them how much you enjoy the area, ask them to visit our web site and learn about why we’re concerned about the issues of conservation and access on this important watershed. You can learn more in the “Our Mission” area of the website. The Watershed Management Resources Plan needs to be funded to be implemented. Also, we are seeking automated water quality gauges from the US Geological Service in several locations and we’d like to add to the area of the Park to ensure the watershed is protected from development.
